International students from all around the globe arrive to the Universidad de Montevideo (UM) drawn by its vibrant and dynamic environment.

The university provides a supportive atmosphere for international students, offering a wide range of subjects from diverse faculties, in which local and exchange students share the classroom. The institution also offers a Buddy Program and many extracurricular activities, from recreational (and league level) sports to personal finance courses and volunteering activities, ensuring that students have a well-rounded university experience.

The UM also offers a series of cultural activities that immerse them in the local community and help them experience the rich history and vibrant culture of Montevideo. Whether exploring the museum and city's colonial architecture or relaxing on one of its many beautiful beaches, international students never run out of things to do.
